Empowering Partners through Gender Law Training
awbahWe’re thrilled to share with you all that our Team from Karene District are in Aljaziks, Port Loko District, has just concluded a 2-day Gender Law training conducted by Trocaire! The training focused on three key areas: Domestic Violence Act, Devolution of Estate Act, and Customary Marriage.
The highlight of the training was the emphasis on critical issues affecting our communities, including sexual violence, domestic violence, inheritance, women’s rights to own and access land and other properties. It’s essential that we address these issues head-on and work towards creating a more just and equitable society.
What’s more exciting is that partners were encouraged to cascade this training to their respective organizations, ensuring that the knowledge and skills gained are shared widely and have a ripple effect in our community.
