Brightening Up Kemeth Community with Solar Lights!

On the 22 May, 2024. With funds from Irish Embassy, AAD-SL through Trocaire had the pleasure of distributing and installing 98 solar lights in Kemeth community, Karene District! As you may know, Kemeth is a name that means “brightness” in the Limba local dialect. And what better way to bring brightness to the community than with solar lights?

AAD-SL, Trocaire and Easy Solar arrived at Kemeth community bright and early, eager to get started on the installation process. The villagers were thrilled to see us and eagerly gathered around to watch the lights being installed. We worked tirelessly to ensure that each household received a set of solar lights, carefully positioning them to illuminate the darkest corners of the community.

The villagers were amazed by the ease of use and the energy efficiency of these solar lights. They can now light up their homes and pathways without worrying about the cost of electricity or the environmental impact.

We’re thrilled to be a part of this initiative to bring light and hope to the community. It’s not just about providing a practical solution – it’s also about empowering people and giving them a sense of pride and ownership.

Kemeth community is now shining brighter than ever! We’re grateful to have been a part of this project and look forward to seeing the positive impact it will have on the lives of the villagers.
